What Does The Wear & Tear Coverage Option Cover?Wear & Tear Coverage refers to a covered component that is worn beyond the auto manufacturer's recommended tolerances. In other words, the covered part does not need to break in order to qualify as a covered repair. Instead, if it wears out prematurely, it's covered! There are many components in your vehicle such as: Idler Arm, Piston Rings, U Joints, CV joints, Wheel Bearings, Motor Mounts, Suspension Bushings, Tie Rod Ends and several engine parts that gradually wear down. This may or may not cause an actual breakdown of your vehicle, in which case, it would not be covered under a mechanical breakdown warranty. A mechanical breakdown car warranty is typically less expensive and what you'll find most other companies are only offering.
