If the Chevrolet manufacturer's factory warranty is still in effect, anyone who owns the vehicle during the warranty period is entitled to warranty service. The warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of all covered parts and components. How Long Is The Chevrolet Factory Warranty Valid For?
The Chevrolet factory warranty that is provided directly by the Chevrolet Manufacturer, is valid for 3 Years / 36,000 Miles. There are two measures used to determine how long your Chevrolet factory warranty is valid for.
1) Years in Service The Chevrolet factory warranty is valid for 3 years. 2) Miles Driven The Chevrolet factory warranty is valid for 36,000 miles. The measure that occurs first determines how long your coverage lasts. For example, your Chevrolet factory coverage lasts for 3 years, unless you drive more than 36,000 miles before 3 years elapse. The Chevrolet factory warranty start date begins on the date the vehicle is delivered to the 1st retail buyer or put into use, whichever occurs first. The factory warranty is provided by the Chevrolet Manufacturer.
How Do I Check If My Chevrolet Is Still Under Factory Warranty?
When you purchase a new or used Chevrolet, the manufacturer includes coverage on all or most of a vehicle's systems or components during the full warranty term. If you would like to find out if your vehicle is still covered, please contact your nearest Chevrolet dealer service center or the Chevrolet Manufacturer and make sure you have the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and mileage ready when you call.
Who Pays For Repairs If I'm Covered Under The Chevrolet Factory Warranty?
You will not be charged for repairs covered by any applicable Chevrolet factory warranty during the stated coverage periods, unless specifically stated elsewhere. Some states may require a tax on a portion of warranty repairs. Where applicable law allows, the tax must be paid by the owner of the vehicle.
